L. Wayles Wilson, MGPA

School Systems Strategist

L. Wayles Wilson is an education consultant for Sustainable Schooling, currently supporting organizations like Mastery Schools, the Go Green Initiative, and Bloom Planning, where she provides project management and program implementation support. Her recent consulting projects have ranged from program feasibility and implementation for an online learning management system (LMS), student enrollment competitive analysis and implementation, and grant writing, as well as strategic planning and operations to support schools with sustainability efforts.

With over 15 years of experience in education nonprofits, Wayles offers expertise in staffing (hiring and management), professional development, strategic planning, school finance and operations, project management, and more. She previously served as chief of staff and chief operating officer, school support for Camden City School District in Camden, NJ. During her time there, she supported the executive leadership team on strategic planning and goals oversight, as well as managed school finance and operational functions. Prior to joining CCSD full-time, she worked as a consultant with TNTP (formerly The New Teacher Project) serving on talent and staffing teams in Camden, Baltimore City, and Philadelphia. Wayles has experience hiring for all school-based roles, and running new teacher and leader training, coaching, and certification programs. Prior to her time in K-12 education, She worked in alumni relations and development in higher education.

Wayles holds a degree in education nonprofit administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania and is a certified School Business Administrator in New Jersey. She also holds Bachelor's degrees in business administration and international relations from Washington College.
