School Innovation & Facilitation

For more than 16 years, Rashaun Reid has worked to ensure students in underserved communities have access to high-quality education in their own neighborhood.

Rashaun Reid is a graduate of Temple University who began his career in North Philadelphia as an elementary school teacher. It was during this time that he developed a passion for working with challenging youth and gained critical leadership experiences while serving as a lead teacher, program facilitator and assistant principal of instruction.

Inspired by his time in leadership roles, Rashaun completed Temple University’s principal certification program and shortly afterwards began his journey into the world of school turnaround and transformation with a desire to make change.

As a turnaround principal for KIPP and Mastery Charter Schools, Rashaun effectively improved the performance of two underperforming middle schools by drastically decreasing violence, improving school culture, and achieving ambitious academic goals.   With a deep-rooted belief that all children deserve equitable educational opportunities, Rashaun expanded his reach and served as the chief academic officer for four charter middle schools spread across four states in the northeast corridor of the US. Within this work, he coached school leaders, managed curriculum implementation, and created systems for operational effectiveness in the area of academics.

Rashaun holds a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education as well as a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. He is from Long Island, NY and in his free time, Rashaun enjoys traveling to new countries with beautiful beaches.
